Evangelist Michael Joseph Millben (Mill-ben)
Evangelist Millben is a humble, Holy Spirit-filled proclaimer of the message of the Lord Jesus Christ. His major objective and goal in life is to seek and fulfill his commitment to the stewardship of that message in his lifestyle and mindset.
He has served and pastored full-time for 22 years in the states of Michigan, Oklahoma and California, while serving the last fourteen years as an International Evangelist; totaling 40 years in Ministry. The people of the world have listened for over three years to his international radio broadcast, “The Book of Revelation for Today,” which was heard over the air waves in all 50 of the United States, all provinces of Canada, Mexico, the Continent of Africa, the Middle East, China, Japan, India, Asia, Europe, Russia, Australia, the South Pacific, and three Internet Stations. Brother Millben, for 44 years, has been a social change community activist with local and national African American organizations, and has been the recipient of numerous awards and citations of recognition. He has taught at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, Langston University, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and with the Extension Program of the Interdenominational Theological Center of Atlanta, Georgia as an educator. He is remembered in the San Francisco Bay Area for his instruction of the course entitled “Religion and the African American Church Experience” through the Peralta Community College System at Laney College.
Evangelist Millben’s credentials include: Graduation from Central High School, Detroit, Michigan; a Bachelor of Arts degree from Langston University, Langston, Oklahoma; an Advanced Teaching Certificate from Johnson Memorial Bible Institute, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and a Master of Divinity degree from Morehouse School of Religion at the Interdenominational Theological Center, Atlanta, Georgia. He also has had post-graduate Doctoral studies at Harvard Divinity School, Cambridge, Massachusetts, Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Oklahoma; and has completed all course work for the Doctorate of Ministry degree at the San Francisco Theological Seminary, San Anselmo, California. Evangelist Millben’s Doctorate of Ministry dissertation entitled, “Overcoming the Prophetic/Pastoral Preaching Dichotomy in the African American Church: Toward a Holistic Model of Black Preaching” is in the process of publication.
